RSX 19mm Rear Anti-Sway Bar

Car installed on: 2001 Civic EX Coupe 5MT

Purchased from:
Acura Carland
Price: $92 shipped for anti-sway bar and

all hardware (2x bushings, 2x bushing brackets, 4x bracket bolts)
Time to install: ~2.5 hours (that

includes finding best way to jack car up, waiting for WD-40 to penetrate rust on endlink threads, taking pics of each step, and the trouble I had getting the endlinks unscrewed on one side due to the rust that builds up after 19.5months of driving my car and 41,300 miles. If the endlink threads weren't rusted that could have shaved 30-45 mins off easy, maybe even 1 hour)

Ease of Install: newbie | techie | experienced DIY | engineer | professional

Tools Required:
14mm wrench, 12mm socket, 5mm allen wrench (I will have to confirm this, but these sizes look right)

Pros:

  • Pretty easy to install with the right tools, which aren't hard to get by

    any means

  • Very impactful mod for the money

  • Makes the car feel less *cheap* and more almost performance oriented, if

you ever install it you'll see what I mean

  • Makes me wish my car was faster since I feel like a rally car when taking

turns almost twice as fast as I did before

  • Looks nice in place of the wimpy azz stock anti-sway bar when you look at

    the underside of the car

  • Increases safety since now if you had to make an immediate lane change

maneuver you wouldn't roll over like the car seemed to wanna do stock

Cons:

  • The ride is not quite as soft as it is stock because each rear wheel is not

as inclined to absorb bumps independently, but will transfer movement to the

    body more.

Recommendation: This is one of two performance mods I have made, and I'd take this over my AEM SRI if I had too! My car feels like a friggin rally car, and I can take corners faster then I ever though possible, and I still have stock suspension and stock rims. Once I get nice suspension and a rear lower tie and front & rear strut-tower bars and my 17" rims, I will problem be able to take highway on-ramps at like 100 MPH. I drove to work for the first time since installing this mod today, and thats 40+ miles on a highway, and lemme tell you, I love this thing, the car is much more confident in general, and it feels more neutral. I can switch lanes really fast without feeling as if the car will roll or spinout, and its much easier to take even turns on a highway and track strait with less effort.
