You would have to run pretty rich for that to work, which is not good for your engine. Thats why u don't see that very often on real cars. Besides correct me if i'm wrong but weren't those flames added digitally? _________________ If you feel like you're in control, you're not going fast enough. - Mario Andretti |

Oh... i'm not saying it can't be done. It can and has been done!
Personally i just don't think its worth it to start fucking with fuel injection motor like that. Those old school carbureatored hot rods started the flame from the tail pipe. You would have to run so rich that fuel is getting shot out your tailpipe and hook up a spark plug to your tailpipe to get those flames. Its just not worth the money and headaches in my opinion. _________________ If you feel like you're in control, you're not going fast enough. - Mario Andretti |

| There are kits you can buy that are the tip spark and bypass switch. They can look pretty cool, but there not as big of flames as your hopping for. another thing there illegal in most states. |

I doubt Those effects were added in digitally cuz i watched the making of fast and furious.
Anyway when you see flames shooting out of the exaust on a car (you almost don't see it at all now cuz of computers) it's because of a misfire in the cylinder. It's not a good thing. What causes the fire is the exaust valve being open at the same time the fuel in the cylinder is ignited. So you pretty much get to see what's happening inside your cylinder coming out of your muffler. _________________ *--The Driver Makes The Car, Not The Engine--* |

you can definitely get it done. i've seen west coast customs hook up a car with it. definitely a "show" item - not street legal. if you do a lot of shows, i'd say go for it. but, it's not really a preactical application for the street. take the $$ and sink it into something else if you're on the street only.
