Post subject: S3 S4 on stick shift, why do they blink?
I just got a 1990 accura legend and do not even know what the s3 s4 mean on the stick shift so I really need to know why one is blinking?
I also wonder if $2200 was too much to pay for a 1990 accura legend, It has 155000 miles but looks almost new.. Is this a good car?

That sounds like a good price. As for the s3 and S4 lights i'm not sure what you mean. Can you be more specific?

Post subject: more specific on lights blinking
Hi, Thanks for replying,
the light that blinks is on the shifter, I am not sure what the name for it is, it has drive, reverse, nuetral, and s3 and s4 on it and the s3 keeps blinking even when I am in drive. I can't figure it out..

Try driving when its in S3... see what happens. It might be one of Acura's ways to get you to come in and have your transmition checked... just like the blinking "maintanence" light on your dash comes on, it doesn't mean that there is anything wrong. I've never heard of that happening but no one knows it all. Try calling up your local acura dealership (service dept.) and ask them if it is a transmittion check procaution.
