New problem, ticking in all gears from engine

I had just changed my oil a day or too ago and now I realize that the car is ticking through all gear ranges and @ idle in neutral. at first I thought it was noisy fuel injectors, so I bought a techron based injector cleaner, no change. I went ahead and took off my valve cover and checked my valve clearences, some of the intake clearences were a little off but nothing too sever and still it clicks/ticks. I'm not sure if it's ping but I couldn't believe that a 4cyl W/ stock PCM and fuel curve would ping on 87. I'm still nerw to the honda game is there something that I overlooked?? Please help! I'm driving a time bomb........Tick tick

Are u possititive that its coming from you engine and not your tranny or anywhere else?
You may want to check the EGR valve to be sure it is opening. One of the functions of the valve is to stop engine pinging at the mid rpm range.
