Post subject: Acura lights going hay-wire
I have a 98 Acura 3.0 CL and I am having some issues... #1 My e-brake light started coming on when I hit the gas about a month ago. I changed the brakes because they were getting low (not quiet on the sqeakers yet). They seemed to elieviate the problem temporarily..Not it comes back on when I hit the gas again..
#2 My check engine came on last night going down the interstate... is there anything I can check that causes this?
#3 when I hit my blinker, all my interior lights blink.. not bad, but as if it isn't getting a good ground or something..
CAN ANYONE HELP ME??? THANKS!!!

Sounds like your wireing is messed up, and when that happens there isn't much you can do except for let a good mechanic take a look. Do you have any aftermarket lights or alarms installed that would have needed to be wired in? First things first, take your car to autozone and have them run an engine diagnostic. They will be able to tell you why your check engine light is coming on. All of your problems are most like related to that check engine light. Unless your computer has shorted out, which can sometimes cause all kinds of codes to just pop up. A word to the wise... don't let this problem go unfixed for too long that is how my computer got fried ($1000)
bad wireing.

So you think that is it because of poor wiring. I am not sure I think that is it or not because the brake thing quit when I changed the brakes, but then again I am no expert. What I do think however is that there is some wiring issues, but the only thing I have done is plug an amp in to run a stereo system. I suppose that could be it, but for some reason I doin't think that is it. Thanks for the info, any other ideas.
