Post subject: my 92 Acura integra is dead
MY teg's engine is now dead...which is ok because I recently got an OWI and i cannot drive untill dec.
I had a regular LS engine, 1.8L and I was wondering if I would encounter any problems when if I were to put in a B16A1. I found this engine at
www.streetimports.com
for $1399+shipping:
160HP JDM B16A1
1595cc (1.6L) DOHC VTEC
160hp/112tr
10.2 Compression Ratio
Cable Transmission
Includes:Engine,ECU, Clutch & Transmission
So my main questions are, will this engine fit? Is this the best engine for my money?(im not trying to go all hot rod, i just need a new engine and i'd rather have a 160hp vtec than a 130hp non vtec) Is it safe to purchase off this site?(Or any other internet sites for that matter?)How much is shippining usually, (How many dollars per mile) Which site would YOU recommend?
i've been told i should get a b18 engine due to the fact that it has more torque also.
im just looking for the best deal..i need a new clutch for my car two, and i dont think i can find a b18 package deal like this.
does this look like the best deal to you people?

What do u mean when u say OWI?
Anyways, I don't think you would run into too many problems if any. You should have no problems making the engine fit, its a smaller engine. As far as security goes... since you wouldn't be ordering it online its just a matter of how honest do you think that company is? A friend of mine ordered an JDM engine of a website (i don't remember which one) w/ excellent results. Shipping is usually pretty expensive b/c of the weight issue so its hard to guess how much it could be. If you were to go with another B18 engine it would definately save you alot. Also make sure u know what year the engine is and that OBD's match up. your engine should be a later model than your car.
