Hi all, I just bought a 93 legend LS. It is a fantastic car but I am having one issue with it. The front passenger window and both of the rear windows are not operable by either the drivers control nor at the individual door's controls. I have tried them with the main lock switch in both the on and off position with the same results. Has anyone had anything like this happen? Could the main lock switch break in the locked position? Can I bypass this if that is the problem? Any help or insight on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I am not sure how the switch is wired, but it is possible to short a switch with a jumper

In all the cases I have read about online, the main switch is always broken off. Mine is still on. Can I still jump it? How hard is it to get the switch off to get to the wires?

The condition of the switch isn't an issue. You need to get to the wiring so you can jump the switch. You will have to remove your door panel to do this. Removing the door panel is very easy.

I had the same problem.. the fix is easy...its not the switch...its a poor ground on the drivers master door switch... Remove the drivers panel, find the black wire in the harness, that feeds from the switch. Run a new ground wire from this black wire to the door. If at this point the windows work, the it is the ground. Then drill a small hole it the inside door, sand off any paint for a good ground. Then attach with a ground screw. Good Luck.
