Hi all....not going to go into incriminating details, but I need help with possibly adjusting my speedometer to read a lower speed than I'm actually travelling. Essentially, it boils down to me "needing" to have improper equipment to avoid a ticket (or 2 in 1 week as the case may be!!). Anybody have any suggestions? I've got less than 30 days to appear in court. (And wouldn't you know it, 2 different counties, court is on the SAME day!!)

for a 2000 integra it's all electircal so i would think putting a resistor somewhere would help give wrong readings. I just dont' know where that resistor would go, i think it might have to go somewhere in the speedo cluster.
Another way you could do it, although this is not good for your cluster, would be to open up the custer and wind your speedo needle 360 degrees clockwise then sit in on that piece it normally sits on.
Man i hate cops, they get pleasure out of making others' lives miserable. I get heated when they chase us integra drivers _________________ *--The Driver Makes The Car, Not The Engine--*
If you open your hood there is a cable that is connected to your speedometer. All you have to do is disconnect this cable and your speedometer will no longer work. Most people do this by saving on how many miles thier car has been driven. But you won't know how fast your going. That's all I can give you and you should do the rest yourself!!

thanks for the help guys. i'm not sure what i'm going to do here, if anything. i need to make the speedo read "off", but can't have it noticably tampered with. i want to take it to the shop that is the "official" speedo check for the county, but i imagine they're going to bust my balls if they know i've messed with it. i was afraid the speedo would run off sensors, and putting a resistor in is far beyond my meager capabilities. plus, i don't want to have to fork out more $$ to "fix" the speedo than it would cost me to get a lawyer. i'm going to talk with a few lawyer "friends" (and i use the term loosely here....lol) and see what they suggest. i'll let you know what i find out about the speedo and the fuzz.
