hey why did you lower it 2 in the back and 1.5 in the front? is there a specific reason or did you just do it because i was going to lower it all even??

I didn't intentionally drop it at different heights.. it's the way the spring set that I bought -- came. BUt.. my warning still stands! Smile Don't go any lower than I did.. you'll likely regret it. Also, I never mentioned to you that I had to remove my mudgaurds too...they scraped speedbumps so off they came. People would look at me and laugh at the fact that my 'punked, lowered ride' was scraping stuff.

This is the kit that I have. "pro kit". there is also a "sport kit". but I think that's even more of a drop than below.

cool man Smile I won't try to dissuade you any more than I already have... after this..

All I know is that I knew 2 guys with the eibach sport kit (around 2 inch drop_.. and they hit EVERYTHING. Speedbumps.. driveways.. mufflers ripped off..tow-hooks shredding holes into the bottoms of their driveways... .. do the math and ask yourself if it's really worth it. Smile

thanks for all the pros and cons tho because they really helped i dont want to go that low but just a little lower than your car maybe a 1.4 in the front and a 1.6 or somethin in the rear??? is that possible?? i just think 1 inch looks way too stock... is your handling the same or is it better?? Also i think maybe if the rims or bigger it will look better but then again i am not worried about rims just the rubber on them. I plan on keeping the stock rims on until winter or next year when i get some extra money because i want some really good rubber on them. I am going to paint them that smoke gray i will post pics when its all done!

Hey dude. happy to help in any way I can.

Ok.. i see what you're after. If you wanna liiiiiittle more drop.. get a fat girlfriend! Smile MUUHAHAHAHAH *SO* kidding.... OR get a huge sub for the trunk Smile

Umm.. Yes.. my handling is super cool with the pro kit. it's tight.. the ride is rougher too.. I love it.. corners like it's on rails. But that might also have a little more to do with the tires. I went from the stock 14" only to 15".

Here's why: 16/17" rubber more expensive than 14".... and the rims have not much protection if you hit a bump or pothole. The rims rely on the 'give' of the rubber to stave off any bumps and absorb the impact. I like rubber that comes out from the rims just a little bit, so the tires look beefy from the back, and the faces of the rims are protected a little more from curb-rubs.

Here's the funny thing.. if you put 'bigger rims' and the required 'thinner rubber' so that the overall circumference of the wheel remains the same, then the wheel gap will look even BIGGER. I think it's something to do with the fact that 30 and 40 series rubber is more square and doesn't bubble up in the middle at all.. it's more of an illusion than anything. So if done correctly, the bigger RIMS you go with, the thinner the rubber you need, and the more DROP you need to fill that gap. If I went with 17" rims/rubber, I'd've had to have dropped my car the full 2" to fill the wheel gap. I know cuz I slapped on just such a tire/rim combination at the shop before I settled on the 15's. If you go with bigger rims without reducing the tire thickness, then you end up with a wacky speedometer reading and probably some low end torque loss , but maybe better mileage on the highway.. I dunno.. but for sure it will affect the the engine's performance a little; the tranny was built to have a specific outer tire size.

Obsession note taken: I'll be updating the site so if you have an photo album it will show on your profile. but for now to link to your album you just have to post "http://www.all-acura.com/gate.html?name=coppermine&file=thumbnails&album=15" and it will be turned into a link for you. (without quotes)

Or HTML code:
Code:
<a href="http://www.all-acura.com/gate.html?name=coppermine&file=thumbnails&album=15">Link to your Album text here</a>
