Your cheapest option is to simply cut your spring (bad idea). The best way to lower your car would be to get adjustable coilovers. And in between the two would be a simple shock and spring set up.

I would go with coil overs, i have a pair of dropzones in my car and they handle great and allow you to raise and lower your car with ease, mine were fairly cheap too at $160 canadian including tax and shipped to my door. check out this site : www.customauto.ca

Anything beyond 2 or 2.25" is too much, but you can drop in it two inches w/o scrapping so long as you drive VERY carefully and the roads you drive on are in good condition. Personally I don't like seeing tegs that are slammed to the floor board! A 1 - 1.5 in drop is a good range in my eyes, just enough to get rid of an ugly fender gap and improve stability w/o sacrificing too much comfort. However, coilovers are another story b/c they are adjustable, but they aren't cheap.

Sadly, i'm still on my stock suspension setup. Everytime i go to get a new setup something happens and all of a sudden i'm broke again Evil or Very Mad
