| I have a ticking noise in my 93 acura legend. It seem to get louder the more you drive the car. When you first crank the car it does not tick, but after about 5min it starts to tick. I think it is a lifter. What can I do to stop the noise or at least quiet it down some. |

my engine sounds like there's rocks in the valve train. Lots-O-ticking going on!! Lifters huh?? I didn't know these engines has lifters. The sound goes away about 1500 RPM, anything lower and the car makes noise.
I have 292,000 miles on a Type II motor. It still pulls like hell!!
Any ideas?
Thanks!

I'm not sure exactly what this ticking noise really sounds like but maybe this may help. Are you putting premium gas into your car? Sometimes lesser grades will cause your car to make a ticking or rattling noise. It worked for my roommate who has a Nissan Pathfinder. I hope this helps... but if not... then at least I tried. |
