Each have there merits but if you boil it down a properly setup turbo is just more efficent. It can also allow for more tuneability. _________________ If you feel like you're in control, you're not going fast enough. ~ Mario Andretti |

I remember seeing an article (in SCC i think) where they supercharged and turbocharchged a teg or a civic. Damn, now I have to go find that article... I peaked my own curiousity. _________________ If you feel like you're in control, you're not going fast enough. ~ Mario Andretti |

First of all what kind of compression is your engine running, if its been setup for high compression then turbo is not the right choice they need low compression, if its not set up for high compression then turbo is the definite choice, only downfall is turbolag |

These days you don't really have to worry about turbolag as much as say back in the 70s and 80s. New lightweight composites make the turbines lighter and can spool up with less effort. But, you're right... they aren't perfectly effecient . Unless you plan on getting a turbo setup out of a WRC car. Those things are so sweet no lag at all _________________ If you feel like you're in control, you're not going fast enough. ~ Mario Andretti |
