This is my brothers car been sitting for 3 months of so and we cant get it to start up. When we parked it it worked, and when we tried to start it up on Monday it was straight up dead, and the positive cable was corroded to heck, so we bought a new battery, new connector hooked it up and now it will try to start but it wont turn over.
It just makes noises likes its trying to.
So I thought it could be a electrical problem so we changed the distributor cover, the rotor (PAIN IN MY BUTT!) and spark plugs, and we double checked to make sure every fuse was in working order.
Same damn thing it tries to turn over but wont do it.
Is it the fuel pump? or what? is something gummed up from sitting their so long?
PLS I am baffled. |

| Have you checked the timing belt b/c like 2 weeks ago my car brokedown and it wouldn't turn over and the battery is good and we thought it was the fuel injector but i just put gas in the day before and it was working so then we took off the valve covers and my timing belt broke cuz the plastic part of the valve covers bent it and slowly ripped it up and well we replaced it and it's good. |

sounds like a gas problem-gas starts to break down in 30 days! if the gas is old put some drygas in change the fuel filter also |

If that doesn't work you may want to make sure to fuel pump is working. When you turn on the car you should hear it give of a high pitch whining sound. It is located under your back seat if you didn't already know that. _________________ If you feel like you're in control, you're not going fast enough. ~ Mario Andretti |
