'97 TL Chk Engine Light -- P0401

Hello All,

I'm new to the forum, but want to give y'all mad props for the amount of info you pull together in one place. I'm also new to Acura, and the '97 3.2TL I just got is throwing up her first red flag. Don't get me wrong, she runs like a dream...smooth as silk

, but i didn't expect any problems this soon after getting her home.

The problem is that the check engine light came on for no apparent reason

(and with no noticable effect on overall performance). I took it to AutoZone to have them check the cause (a tip i learned from this very forum), and the ECU came back with code -- 'P0401- EGR Flow Insufficient'.

I am wondering if anybody on here has seen this before or knows what might cause this kind of warning. What do I need to do to remedy the situation? Is it something minor, or should i be going back on the possible sheisters who sold me this 'amazing deal'

my son had a similar problem with his 96 3.2tl with 100k miles. Bought it on ebay.... brought it back to the local Acura dealer. Problem was fixed under Acura polution waranty at no charge

Yours should be covered as well.... Stop at a local Acura Dealer.....it doesnt cost a penny to find out.....
