i was leaking oil and took it in cuz i had no time to look at it, and acura told me that the oil filter was three turns off. i wanted to kill the guys at school who changed my oil( @ a tech school) and this guy said that this happens often. ive never heard of any B-series, even any honda engine having the filter back off. i figured id ask around before calling this guy out. any thoughts?
You know i have a little oil loss problem with my 97 GSR. I always assumed that i was burning it, but just recently I got the impression that it was leaking from the filter. Now, this is just a suspicion, and is completely unfounded. I've never heard of oil filter's backing themselves out. I was always thought that the vacuum created by the pump helped seal it. I don't know, i've never heard of a oil filter loosening by itself. _________________ If you feel like you're in control, you're not going fast enough. - Mario Andretti
