| hey i have a 92 integra gs yea i always post on here well new problem has come about this time i think it is the ignition controller or something because now my car sometimes starts up revs pretty high then the rpm drops really low and the car will shut off i know its not the battery cuz the car comes on but i think it might be the spark plugs maybe or the ignition something after first it use to happen only after i had started my car repeatedly seeing as i am a pizza delivery driver but now that i have stopped delivering the car does it after it gets cold hmmm i wonder what could be causing this??? oh and one more thing i am thinking about lowering my car i dont need anything special or expensive i just want to change the height so the wheels look like they fit a little more snugly i have stock rims well a response would be appreciated |

| Could be the fuel system. Maybe the engine isn't getting enough fuel to stay running. Check the fuel filter. You can get Eibach springs which will lower your car about 2". They are cheap ($200-$250). It should cost under $100 to have them installed. Depending on your car, you might need camber kits to correctly align the wheels. You will find this out after it is lowered. |

if you get lowering springs, remember to get new shocks as well. Your stock shocks aren't designed for such short travel. Next thing you know you'll be riding around with a bad suspension setup becuse you are on blown stock shocks. koni yellows are very good. _________________ If you feel like you're in control, you're not going fast enough. ~ Mario Andretti |

| I had a similiar problem. It would start and then shut off. It wouldn't start up after a few times. After a month smoke came out of the steering column. Finally, the engine wouldn't hold unless I held the key in the start position. Otherwise it would turn off. Mechanic told me it was the starter ignition. Cost me $200.00...$60 for part and $120 labor plus tax. |
