My Acura 3.5 RL (1997) will not drive over 45 mph, it starts to shimmy and shake. Had the axle replaced, wasn't that. The cv joint, wasn't that. New tires and alignment wasnt that. it drives fine around town, but when you are out on the freeway as soon as you hit 65 to 70 mph, it shakes so bad that it will literally pull you off the road. If you put it in neutral, it stops. As long as you drive 40-45 mph, no problem. The closest Acura service is 250 miles away. We have a good repairman in town, but he is stumped anyone know what is up with this?
I have a similar problem with my integra. I hit a curb pretty hard, bent a few suspension parts. I replaced the bent parts with new ones but the car has never been the same again. It shimmies between 75 - 85 mph but once above that speed it feels fine again. Its more annoying that a concern for me. If I had to venture a guess... i'd say one of my rims was bent slightly, not enough to notice but enough to mess up the ride. _________________ If you feel like you're in control, you're not going fast enough. ~ Mario Andretti

No I havent hit any curbs, THe mechanic really thinks that it is a ball bearing and just finding the right one? I know nothing about cars and this is just a little frustrating.
We've all been there. It sucks I know. As my shop teacher used to always say 'it could be a million different things, I'd have to take a look at it.'
Good Luck with that! let me know how that turns out for you _________________ If you feel like you're in control, you're not going fast enough. ~ Mario Andretti
