My friend has a 1993 5cyl Vigor with remote starter and it seems when it gets hot and humid the engine won't turn over.. it cranks but doesn't kick over. He'll crank it for 3 seconds then stop, wait a few minutes and try again.. This usually last about 45 minutes to an hour. We all have our theories... vapor lock, O2 sensor, condensation in the fuel injector, crappy battery.. but before we start digging around the engine I thought I'd post this to see if anyone else has had this problem or any other suggestions for fixing this.

Some added info.. he just changed the air filter and the oil, cleaned the battery terms.

I'm guessing its your main relay, it goes bad b/c of excess moisture. It’ll cost u about 60 bucks. A lot of people in the legend forum are having a similar problem.

Or there is the cheap fix:

main relay for sure. Cheap to buy and you can do the swap yourslef in under 15 minutes once you find it. (prolly near your other relays by the fuse panel driver's side) you can buy the part (maybe $60 canadian) if you want, or try to take apart the old one and resolder it. I figured for the peace of mind and the "I only wanna do this crap one time" -factor.. I paid for the new part and swapped it out..

issue fixed.

Try a search for main relay you'll find some people with similar problems[/quote]
