I'm thinking of buying a lowering coilover kit off of ebay pretty soon. And i just have a few questions before i go through with it. First off i'll would be getting one that allows you to lower your car up to 4 inches. would i have to buy new struts to. i'm not sure if they would bottom out by lowering it that much. And also lowering your car that much would i have to do any more mods to the front. such as steering or anything like that. Any feedback would be great.
First before you buy coil overs for your car, you need to ask what the spring rate is. the bigger the number the stiffer it's gonna be. Then you'd decide whether or not to get new struts. The best answer that I can give you is if you are going to drop your ride 4", you would need new struts. And get an alignment afterwards. Otherwise you will be eating tires like the cookie monster eats cookies. As for a camber kit???? Well..... it depends on how much camber you end up w/. I'm currently running -1.9 on the front, which some will say is a bit much, but w/ a proper alignment, you won't have anything to worry about, as it's the toe that eats tires, not a small amount of camber. _________________ DC4's are the shizzle!!
No, you don't need a fuel rail! Unless you are pushing some crazy numbers!!

hi all
I dropped my 90 teg 4dr GS 1.6 inches with the eibach pro kit. Looks nice and tasteful and handles well. BUT.. now I hit EVERYTHING here in Canada.. and it's crazy in the winter.. my teg is a snowplay.. since the 90 is pretty low to begin with.. I would NEVER NEVER drop a car lower than I did..simply based on my experience with the modest drop I did with the pro kit. I did the camber kit as well.. since the first time I didn't, I smoked a new set of tires prematurely.. best to fix camber any time you drop a car.. no exceptions in my opinion and from my experience.
i had to remove my mud guards cuz they hit everything as well now.
my tow hooks hit all kinds of stuff they never used to.. including my own driveway. before you drop your car,.. consider if it's at all practical and if you can live with the consequences.
