Acura 2002 3.5 RL SRS problem- please help

I just bought a 2002 3.5RL with 65,000 miles from an auction the other day. And as I was driving the car home I noticed 2 things. The first was that the Radio needed a code which I luckily had written in the manual from the previous owner.. which I fixed instantly.. And I also noticed the SRS light would stay on and not shut off after starting the car. This lead me to believe that the battery was shut off at one point before putting on the acution and I am assuming this gave the radio and SRS errors.

Now being a complete newbie and having very liitle experience fixing cars.. what should I do to get rid of the SRS light problem. The car is out of warranty so I fear going to the dealer's in NYC.. which will charge me an arm and leg. Should i be worried.. and can you please provide me with detailed instructions on what i Need to do.
