Please explain what kind of mechanicals happen when you press the defrost button. I can get half defrost and half foot-level air but cannot get the full defrost function to work. It appears that the LED in the button is an indicator of what is "engaged" when it is pushed in. I can't get the defrost one to stay on. My specific question would be :
1 - Do I need to be pulling apart the switch end of it so to get the LED to engage so that a mechanical motor will set the draft vent correct? ..or do I just need to be going after the vent mechanism itself? I just replaced the blower BUT this issue was there even before the blower went. Just changed the Thermostat and so now there is heat but again, no full defrost to the windshield.
2 - Are the directional buttons (left side of control) tied intimately to the circulation (inside or from-outside) buttons? Thanks in advance R7
