I have been having a couple problems with my gsr that came up recently. My exhaust is blue and I have had to add oil much more than woudl normally be necessary. I imagine this could be a piston ring problem but I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas. Recently, after coming back from college for break, while idling at a stop light my car started moving up and down in rpms like i was reving the car. I found that the oil had gone below the dipstick even though I had added oil only a couple weeks before. I added oil and for the next couple days the car ran fine, but recently the same thing happened after a 10 minute drive. I don't know if the two issues are directly related or not. When the idling problem began the check engine light also came on and has not gone off since. Any ideas would be appreciated.
