What does CDPED stand for?

I have a stock CD player, and when i put a cd in, its says CDPED.Tthen it ejects my CD. But the radio plays fine.Do i need a different code for the CD player?

It means your laser isn't working. You could have it clean or replaced depending on how bad it is, but most people i kno just get new radios (its just as expensive).
