Custom Tail Lights for 96 - 98 3.5 RL

I am in the process of vacuum forming a set of RL tail lights out of PET-G plastic with an array of about 400 LEDs (per side) and chrome looking background for my 97 Acura RL. The LED array is consists of the tail lights in a ring, and high intensity center for brake lights. Similar to that found at http://www.clearcorners.com/products/toyota/mr2b/R_hbtail_LED2/

Production is fairly expensive, especially for one pair... so...
creating multiple lights would reduce the cost of production.

I am curious if anyone has an interest in purchasing a set for themselves.
The RL market is small, and there is nothing like this available that I have seen. The cost for a pair will be a just a bit above what factory tail lamps would cost from the dealership.

Obviously craftmanship and style impacts ones decision, so I will post a link to the final product when it is finished early June 2004.

If you have an interest, please post ASAP, as the vacum molding is set for April 23. I will be making 3 pair, unless there is a large interest stating otherwise.

i just purchased an acura rl 1996. i ve been looking everywhere for after market head lights covers or brake light cover. i ve had no luck so i am very interested in your brake light covers. they sound sweet maybe also you know something about custom headlight cover.

Unfortunately I have no knowledge of any "covers" on the market for the RL. I have looked long and hard, but have come up with nothing. Rumor has it, there are "eye-brows" that you can get for the headlights, yet I don't know where you can purchase these.

I have constructed custom tail lights for my RL (haven't had time to post any links to pics). I have kept the mold I used to duplicate the clear outter lense of the tail light. The lense was built to replace the factory tail lights, not cover them, so I have had to re-create everything behind the lense. So this is a 100% custom job.

If you are interested in doing any of this yourself, you could save yourself a lot of time and money by using my molds and the system I have set up for creating them.
