I have a '93 Integra LS, 160K. I bought it 2 years ago. I've done minor things to it - tie rod, brakes, fuel filter, plugs / filters, main relay.
Question 1:
Anyway I get about 20-22 mpg consistently. I commute about 40 miles/day 50/50 traffic/freeway. I live in Alaska and we only have 90 octane fuel, don't think that would have that much impact, though. I changed the plugs, they looked good, new cap & rotor, air filter. I go through a little oil, about 1 qt every 2500 miles. Any Ideas?
Question 2:
What's with the secondary air filter? It looks like it draws air from inside the engine compartment. Can I cap that off, or is it like, critical? Could that have something to do w/mpg? It's really dirty but I don't see that I need it anyway.
