96 Integra, 100K mile, work done last 3 months = water pump + brakes (rotors, pads) + timing belt + new radiator. Spent lot of money on this since bought.
(1) Brakes occassionaly appear soft, depress more easily than b4, not as 'sharp' or resistant as b4. Just feeling this in the last week. What could be possible causes? Do i need to check this out?
(2) Mileage was at 31 mpg, now appears to be around 25-27. Seeing this last 2 weeks only. Could be my fuel gauge is screwing up, since fuel lite comes on wnad when i fill up, only 10 gallons go in and i know i've put in 11.5 for a full fill up b4 (assuming .5 gallon in empty tank w/ lite on). Could this be fuel indicator problem-how do i check this? if not, cud mileage drop be related to (1) + consistent use of heating?
(3) how much shud a basic starter on 96 integra cost? Is it worth it?
For your brakes problem, the first thing i would do it check the cylinder and see if your low. Then you could bleed the brakes. And if it's still doing it you could possibly have a bad Master clyinder.
