Hey guys, please help me out with this one. I recently wen't to a local mechanic to change my brake pads prior to inspection. Shortly after he change the brakes my ABS lamp and brake lamp remained on. My mechanic says its independent to his work on my car. Any thoughts on what could be wrong? My car is a 2000 acural tl 3.2. Thanks in advance for your comments!!

A couple thing you may want to consider:
1. The power cable going from your battery to your ABS relay may have come loose.
2. Some dirt/grime got on to the splines around your CV boot... (the metal ring that looks a gear) If it getts dirty enough the sensor can't get a read on the vehices wheel speed and ABS goes into safety mode and shuts off.
3. One of the sensor got knocked out of place when your brakes were being serviced
The mechanic knows that he f'd up. He is just too lazy to fix the problem that he created. I would go back and talk to the manager.
