I drive a 95 Acura Legend GS.

The "maintenance required" light is on red. It progressively moved from green to amber to the red. Is this a cause for alarm or do I simply need to reset it? If neccessary, how do I do so? The car runs fine only problem I can think of is the revving described by others on this forum when you start up the car for the first time.

I also have a possible wiper related problem. The two nozzles that sit on the hood which spray the wiper fluid do not emit the fluid with the high pressure they are supposed to when I try clean my windscreen. The fluid practically drips onto the hood. I've checked the nozzles to make sure they aren't clogged, and the wipers work fine. I'm suspecting the problem has to do air intake somewhere, but I don't know where. Thanks,

Chris the GS pusher.

To reset your light you simply need to press the blue button under your driver side dash (just to the right of the steering column). How long has the maintenance light been on? It is only supposed to flash 10 times upon startup

AcuraImport,
The light has been on red for about a week now. Like I said before it changed from green to amber to red. I'll check again and see if I find the button you talk of. BTW, any ideas about the wiper problem? Thanks.

Not sure what button "Acura Import" is referring to. You simply stick your key in the slot below the light and it will reset it to green. I just leave mine on red. It is set to cylce from green to amber to red over a 7500 mile distance. It is there to remind you to perform routine maintenance on your car. It doensn't indicate that something is wrong.
I would begin by checking the wiper fluid tubing for leaks or clogs. If they are ok, check the pump that is in the resovoir. It may be clogged or need replacing. Let me know what you find out.
