I love my 93 Acura Legend. The only thing is I get poor gas mileage. I average around 17 mpg. My son's 97 Cadillac Deville averages 25 mpg and my friends 89 Corvette get about 25 mpg. What could the problem be with my car. I took it to the dealership and they ran a diagnostic check and didn't find anything wrong with the car. Can some one help me?

It depends on what you call a good tune up. I changed the plugs, air, and fuel filter a few months ago. But that is about it.

124000 miles automatic. Just breaking in. Wish I could get better mileage. Thinking about selling it.

I am surprised that you would consider selling your legend. I love mine. I also get poor gas mileage. Change plugs, air filter, fuel filter. Also check your coil packs. I noticed that mine are wearing unevenly. I haven't replaced them yet because they are $60 a piece.

There are a couple tests that you can do. One is an electrical test and the other a visual. The electrical involves disconnecting the electrical connector and testing he resistance of each pack. They should have a resistance of about 1000 ohms I believe. I don't recall exactly how to perform this test. If you have a Haynes manual, it will tell you. For visual test, unbolt each coil pack from the engine and look inside at the metal contact. Be sure that it is clean, and isn't worn looking. Do you put any fuel system treatments in your tank? I recommend using BG 44K. You will notice a significant improvement.
