So, I tried starting my car one fine evening last week...it had been working just fine up until that point. I couldn't even unlock my doors with the keyless entry. So, a battery issue right? My brother tried to boost the battery yesterday. At first, the car alarm went off, and then it wouldn't start. The lights came on for a few seconds, then died..subsequent attempts yielded nothing. Not a sound, not a light, nothing.
I got the roadside assistance to come by this evening. Same thing. Initially, the car alarm went off, and then it wouldn't start. He looked at the battery, said it looked like it was corroded, and leaking. There was acid on top.
I've only had this car for two years. Is that normal? I only drive it on weekends, and maybe once during the week. Could it be they just installed a bad battery, or is a leaking battery a common thing for new cars?
