Hey peeps i got a couple things I need help with. First off, I've had my AEM cold air intake in my '94 integra for about 3 years now and the bypass valve is pretty much torn apart and completely useless (I have it duct taped together in order to keep the intake together). Also I havent cleaned or changed my air filter.
I bought a new bypass valve. It is gonna be easy to install right? Just take off the old one and put this new one in its place with the clamps. if not then if yall could gimme advice that would be awesome. Second, should I by a new K&N filter or clean the one I have now. If I were to buy a new one how do I find out what size I need? If i were to clean it, how do i clean it? A friend of mine said to soak it in water.

Ya I'm not one of those techy guys that knows how to do a bunch of stuff to my car thats why Im asking you guys. I can do these 2 things by myself right? It doesn't seem too hard.

Thnx. Rolling Eyes

Changing the bypass valve is a pretty easy job, no real surprises. And as for your filter, you don't need to replace it you can clean it. However, AEM recommends you use their cleaning solution. AEM's FAQ: http://www.aempower.com/faq.asp?fid=40&sid=1&tid=

This kiinda relates to my question. I just got a K&N cold air intake 3 months ago with no bypass valve. I don't drive in puddles but it has been raining hard lately. Should i be worried about the rain as long as I stay out of puddles? Anyone have any experience with this?
