Hi VtecRacer,
I had a similar problem when I first got my car and didn't know about a little oil burning problem Embarassed Befor I knew it more than half my oil got burt up which caused the VTEC solinode valve to malfunction Sad It was an easy quick fix for me... just changed my oil with a thinker oil.

However, something tells me that isn't your problem. I'll look up that code for you and let you know what diagnostic you should do, in a little bit.

There are a few probable causes of that DTC code ar Open or short in VTEC solenoid, valve circuit, VTEC pressure switch, open or short in VTEC pressure switch circuit, or it could be your ecm, but i doubt it would be your ecm.
Try reseting the code and drive it around for a minute in VTEC range, if it doesn't come back don't worry about but if it does, keep reading.
    1. When the car is off, disconnect the VTEC pressure switch connector and check for continuity. If there is none replace that part
    2. Next test the VTEC Pressure switch wire, look for open or short to ground in the wire between the switch and ecm
    3. Then, if you can check the soleinode valve presure, by attatching an oil pressure gauge and running the car at 1000, 2000, and 3000 rpm

From here all the test become increasingly difficult to describe. Definatly try to find loose or open wires going to the ecm, it is a fairly common problem when people have had aftermarket electronics installed
Let me know how that goes for you, and if you have a question for me... you know where to find me Smile
