Starting is very easy and idle speed is good when parking and air conditioning (AC) off.
Problem:
1. When air conditioning ON or A/T shift in gear to drive, idle speed would drop, engine run rough, poping sound and smoke come out in tail pipe.
2. When cooling fan ON and after went Off, smoke out in tail pipe.
3. No [Engine check] light and no code.
This car does not have the A/C idle boost valve and A/T idle control valve to compensate for air conditioning (A/C) load and Automatic Transmission (A/T) in gear load.
It has the Electronic Air/Idle control valve (EACV), Air bypass control system, and air suction control valve.
- The air bypass control system functional tested OK.
- The EACV terminals resistance and connector voltage tested OK, but don't know if it is functioning ??
- After engine warm up (cooling fan running), the air suction valve's solenoid open for vacumn to go to air suction control valve, but after only 30 sec, the solenoid close because voltage supply to it got turned off. Therefore, the air suction control valve only working for 30 sec then turn off. I don't know if this is how the air suction control system suppose to work ???
