hi, i have these question about my integra. i have a integra 97 ls , every time i start the engine i smell like gas coming out and some thing like rubber burn. then today , when i ma driving everything was normal but when i stopped at the lights and traffic , the hand from the cold and hot moved from normal to hot point. but when i press the gas to speed up , the hand go back down to normal tempature , and it would go up when i stop my car at a stop sign or lights. can any one help me out please. thank you so much

in addiction , my integra has a little oil leaking ,does it do any thing to my problem? and if it is my radiator fan not working at the needed time , how can i fix it ? please response me and help me out please thank you.
wassup? One thing you might want to check your hoses for leaks, because I had a small pin point hole in on of my hoses and it was causing my gauge to go to hot whenever my car sat there an idled.

first check the level of coolent in the system. If its low then you know you have a leak somewhere that is causing it to climb at lights. If your fan isnt coming at the right time that will also cause it to climb when you stop. There is a cooling fan switch that tells the fan to come on. They go out quite often ive realized in integras, so have that checked. You might have your water pump checked too. IF you want to there is a test you can run on you rengine called a head casket leak test they usually run about 70-80 bucks to have done.
