Does anyone know if the CL transmission flaw for model years 2001 to 2003 have been fixed? I'm interested in one of these cars, but I don't want to end up owning a transmission problem. I 've seen messages alude to this problem in the MSN auto reviews page.
I've also seen negative posts regarding the paint.
If you have the same transmission that is in the TL then, no your problems are not over. They have the warranty recall situation and they should do an inspecition for free at your Acura dealer. They inspect the 2nd gear for discoloration from the overheating. If it is not discolored, they put some lube kit that should fix it forever. If it has discolored, they replace the transmission. I have also heard of people going through 3 or 4 transmissions before they ever reach 50,000. It is one of those things where you have to cross your fingers.
