Anybody know anything about the streetability of crower 404 cams? I'm plannin on getting this soon along with the valve spring/retainers with cam gears. I heard these were streetable if done correctly. The crower website says that it requires an "ecu mod." What does this mean? How will I mod it to accommodate for the new cams? I have an uninstalled hondata s200 waiting...any advice/suggestions?

"ecu mod" refers to your 'computer chip' (im pretty sure) you'd have to upgrade from your stock chip to one that is ment for better timing etc. with your new cams. if you left your stock one in and installed the cams the fuel/air mixture might be off, slightly misfiring...stuff along those lines

In order for those cams to run right you will need to raise your compression. Find a good shop and talk w/ them about building your motor. You can't just pop on one piece and have a super fast car. All your parts must work together to produce the best power.

No, you don't need a fuel rail! Unless you are pushing some crazy numbers!!

understood. IS it possible for me to make this car a daily driver and pass emissions? I live in CA and I'm not sure how street-legal I can go with this...especially with raising the compressions. IF so, raise it by how much? I know that higher is better, and that people tell me to get CTR pistons because it works well with the crower 404's, but I'll do this if it doesn't hurt the legal status of the car....what do you think?
