I have a 1996 Acura 2.5 TL. The car won't start using a key. When I use my remote, it starts and runs great - until I put my foot on the break to engage the gear. Then it stops running. Someone mentioned they thought it could be something to do with the security system but I don't know how to check that. Any thoughts out there?

take it to where you had the security system installed, and have them check it. If its factory then take it to a certified acura mechanic. I wouldnt try to mess with the security system yourself, unless youve delt with them before, they get hella tricky sometimes.
