I appreciate you guys that took the time to read my earlier post on the radio the problems I am having. I only wish someone had some answers. Nevertheless I am still working with it which has rasied another question.

Those of you who have had code problems did you get an ERROR message at anytime? I just read an article that led me to believe if I put the wrong code in or the radio won't accept the code the display will give me an ERROR message.

1. I have verified I have the right code.
2. I disconnect the battery and reconnect it
3. I turn on the key then the radio
4. My radio display reads COdE [just like that in mixed case]
5. I put in the number and it beeps on the last digit and does nothing.
6. The word COdE stays on the display unchanged through it all

Any thoughts at all? Tthis has become a real challenge for me. I feel like its got to be something obvious that I am missing. You suggest it I'll try it!

Thanks goodman

When you type in the code if it is the wrong code it will beep and display err-1, then err-2, and finally err-3. You only have three tries as i'm sure u already know. If its doing that there are 3 possibilities: 1) You have the wrong code, 2) You are pushing a button before u start inputing the code (the radio only accepts the 1st 5 digits enter after each beep), or 3) The radio is fried and just doesn't accept the code (if thats the case, u will need a new radio)

AcuraImport,

Thanks for getting back with me I had hope to get your input.

I have a code sticker and have verified the code by removing the radio myself and calling the dealer. I let the dealer give me the number without telling him the number I was attempting to enter and both matched.

I am doing nothing but turning the radio on and then inputting the code. The radio beeps after the 5th digit but does not light up or give me a CODE ERR 1, 2, or 3 although the radio is on because the antenna goes up and the word COdE does appear on the radio display.

I guess it must be fried- thanks for the help!
