Ok, so it's a sat morning and I decided to change my oil. I jack up the GSR to make life easier then unscrew the oilpan bolt, let the oil flow into the pan, clean the oily bolt with a rag then placed the bolt on the ground. so while the oil is draining out my friend shows up to show me his new GSX-R 600 (sweet bike). he hung around for about 25 minutes. By this time the oil is done draining, so i get under the car again remove the old filter and put the new one in. I go to reach for the bolt which i knew i left in front of the driver side tire but i didn't feel anything, so i get up from under the car and see the bolt isn't there!! WHAT THE HELL! so i'm looking around my tire for it then i figure i must have put it somewhere else i looked all over the driveway for about 10 min and this was a pain in the ass. I sit down to take a break and notice something shiny moving at the end of my driveway. IT WAS THE BOLT!! being carried off by three ants. So I pick up the bolt and two of the ants are still holding on!! how the hell do they grip onto metal like this?? so i shake them off and then they met Mr. RightFoot, for causing me all this strees. STUPID ANTS. I put the bolt back on and unscrew my oil cap to fill in the new oil (Castrol GTX, Awesome oil). While i'm pouring in oil a fly decides to land on the funnel and walk towards the oil going into the engine. The stupid fly had a suicide wish and gets caught in the oil wirlpool and before he can make it down the funnel and into my engine i lifted the funnel out of the engine and tilted it getting oil all over my intake pipe. STUPID FLY. This was def. the most stressful and longest oil change i've done. _________________ *--The Driver Makes The Car, Not The Engine--*
That has got to be the funniest thing I've ever heard. I mean really, ANTS stealing your oil plug, that's a first. They must have had some grand plans for that bolt! My oil change gone bad stories just involve a few broken oil wrenches and alot of frustration, YOU take it to a whole new level . _________________ If you feel like you're in control, you're not going fast enough. ~ Mario Andretti
