Hi,

I have and 1990 Integra with an ABS problem. My front passenger side ABS kicks on whenever I brake or not and the car slows below 5 mph. My ABS light does not come on and I can feel the car pulling right if I brake hard.

I had a similar problem a year ago when my CV boot seal came loose constantly and grease got onto the ABS sensor on the same wheel. I got the ABS warning light that time. I took it to an Acura dealer and they cleaned the sensor and my problems were solved. I also had the CV boot repaired afterwards

I told my mechanic (a former Honda dealer mechanic) about the problem and how it was fixed by the dealer before. This time the CV boot is intact and there was minor dirt on the sensors. After cleaning the sensors my ABS still kicks on at low speeds. Looks like I need to see the dealer again. Anyone else has this problem or a simple quick fix? Thanks.

How are your brakes pads/rotors? Warped rotors have a similar feel to the pulse of ABS. Oh, check your ABS motor relay too.

Thanks for your reply. The rotors were resurfaced the first time my ABS acted up. The mechanic checked everything including brake fluid levels. He recommended a dealer since they have more diagnostic equiptment.

I hear the ABS motors running to build pressure and pumping the brakes at low speeds even when I'm not braking at low speeds. When I do brake, I get the usual ABS sensation on the brake pedal. Something is causing my ABS to think that my front right wheel is locking up at low speeds.

It's just fustrating that the ABS worked fine until the CV seal broke a year ago fouling the sensors with grease. It looked like the dealer fixed the problem, and now it's back and the cause is now a mystery. I'm curious too how the dealer and the mechanic cleaned the ABS sensors.
