I have a 1990 Acura Legend that seems to have a mind of its own. It starts most of the time with no problem, and then at other times, I can go somewhere and try to start it but it won't even make a sound. After I let it sit for some amount of time, it will eventually start. I've had enough of being stranded in parking lots, so this is one of my last resorts. I've had a new starter put on a month ago and even had it checked out, so it's not the starter. I have a manual on Acura Legends, and one thing that it said you can check is the shift cable, and that it could need some adjustment. Every time I take it to a mechanic, it starts with no problem, so they really don't know what to check. If anyone has had a similar problem and/or a solution, please let me know.
It is your main relay, it goes bad b/c of excess moisture. Itll cost u about 60 bucks. Its a very common problem.
Or there is the cheap fix:

main relay for sure. Cheap to buy and you can do the swap yourslef in under 15 minutes once you find it. (prolly near your other relays by the fuse panel driver's side) you can buy the part (maybe $60 canadian) if you want, or try to take apart the old one and resolder it. I figured for the peace of mind and the "I only wanna do this crap one time" -factor.. I paid for the new part and swapped it out..
issue fixed.
Try a search for main relay you'll find some people with similar problems _________________ If you feel like you're in control, you're not going fast enough. ~ Mario Andretti
