Ok my friend has a 1990 acura integra 4 door LS. Its an auto with the 1.8 B18A1 LS NON V-TEC. I been trying to help him as much as possible but i live 2 hrs from him and its kinda hard for me to get to him. So ive gone over the forums and people suggest alot that the problem he has might be the fuel relay located in the shifter counsole inside the car. So heres the problem. he Complanied that in hot weather that the car would not start but when the sun went dwn or occationnly in the hot sun if he kept trying it might eventually start. Last January it died on him and would not restart so he had it towed home and there its sat since january. I went last week to his house and changed the fuel filter which was btw very clogged and i did an injector clean and a throttle body clean. The SOB started right up and purred lika kitten. i tried a few times turning it on and off and the 4th time i tried it would not start. Next day low and behold started with no effort. He dosent have alot of money to spend and i think it might be the relay but its like $40-$50 dollars for this rely and order only from acura. Does anyone think this could be the problem or does anyone have any other ideas of what it could be? And he did replace the fuel pump last november. Embarassed

Before you spend any more money you will probably want to test the battery first. Hey, you never know, could be an easy fix Smile

If it always cranks, but sometimes doesn't start, but will after sitting awhile - and seems to be worse when the inside of the car is very hot or very cold, then it may be solder joints of the main fuel relay. Typical problem with Integras.

We had this frustrating problem with our 92 Integra. I finally took the relay out from under the driver's side dash, removed its cover, and resoldered the connections on the top of its circuit board. Real easy to do and doesn't cost anything. Our Integra now starts all the time, and it's been pretty hot inside the car this last week.
