Cool I purchased a complete "Number 1" stainless exhaust for my 98 Integra, but the shop where I bought it only recommended the muffler section because replacing the cat section from the exhaust manifold all the way to the back would screw up the computer, anyone have any thoughts on this? I thought it would be nice not to have any restrictions, but don't want to mess with anything I shouldn't!
Thanks for any replies on this! This site rules!

the only way u would have a problem is if u don't have a place to put your o2 sensors
there should be one before the cat on the manifold or header and one after the cat
you can go header,hi-flow cat,and cat back system, screw in your sensors and
not affect your ecu with just a axle back u might get 2-3 hp at best a full exhuast
15-20. the #1 cat back has a place for your o2

Yep, just like cdiracing said. As long as you use both O2 sensors it will work fine.

The muffler section is mounted, so I took the opportunity after reading your post to look at the cat section to find any O2 locations, none can be found. Can this be a modified procedure to the #1 cat section? Why would they manufacture this without O2 sensor locations?! Sad

close behind the cat
1111- header 1st o2
1
1-cat
1- the 2nd o2 will
1- be some where in this section before the first bend
1111-bend

Thanks for the interest in helping me solve this problem! The #1 system I bought is three sections, Three bolt flange from exhaust header that is the replacement cat section. Second section is the bend from cat section to passenger side and connects with third section, over axle muffler. I checked the cat section thoroughly and the bend. No signs of any sensor locations, just ceramic coated except high polish stainless cat section and welded muffler section.
