| I'm looking for some instite on some cams. i'ml looking to get one in the near future for my 97 GS. I'm looking for one that is fairly aggressive. And what else would i have to upgrade. fuel pump? rods? springs? timing gears? I already have headers and exhaust in the works. thanks for any advise. |

You may also want to check out Crower. They have very nice cams!! And unless you want to be checking your retainers every couple of months, stay w/ the stock ones. They are more than up to the job. I've spoke w/ a guy that revs to 9500...he uses stock type R retainers.
And why does everybody keep saying get a new fuel rail????? The stock one can support MASSIVE amounts of power..... like in turbo applications..... I just don't get it. _________________ DC4's are the shizzle!!
No, you don't need a fuel rail! Unless you are pushing some crazy numbers!! |

There's a guy on another site that I frequent that is running like 419lb/ft of torque and he is using the stock LS head.... and when I say head, I mean everything attatched to it... well other than the exhaust, but you get the point. _________________ DC4's are the shizzle!!

That will be dependant upon your engine.... I would say yes, so that you won't over drive them... you will need some type of fuel management though... fpr and some type of afc, and I would recomend getting some cam gears as well.
Oh yeah, and get it TUNED at on a dyno w/ a wideband O2 sensor. _________________ DC4's are the shizzle!!

That depends on how 'aggressive' you plan on going. Your stock injectors are up to the job, but my philosophy is better safe than sorry. With big power comes a big need for efficent fuel delivery.
Oh, 419ft/lbs i mean damn thats a lot of torque for a honda/acura... how does he do it! _________________ If you feel like you're in control, you're not going fast enough. ~ Mario Andretti |

| ok i saerched my file cabinets last night and came up empty handed on a parts list i belive that a simple v-afc should suffice for the fuel management how ever the preivious should cover all the biggest parts u need |

Any of your local tunner shops should have them, or can they can get them for you. A few online places you can check!
