i bought a 94 integra LS with a B18B1 and i was thinking about putting a GS-R head on it. if i do this swap, would i have to get a new manifold or anything? and if you have any comments or stories or warnings, please post them. thnks
I personally wouldn't go LS/Vtec as there are waaaaaay to many horror stories on the net. They really aren't all that reliable due to the LS's horrible rod/stroke ratio. Stay tuned to the boards as I hope to start my LS build up in the next year. Boring and sleeving, and port and polishing, and BIG ass cams!! Who needs Vtec, not I!! _________________ HIDDENDEMONS from team-integra.net
DC4's are the shizzle!!
If you haven't already read it, here is a little intro into the LS/VTEC.
I don't think it is essential to change your intake manifold, but i'm not sure. Personally, If it was me, i'd take the manifold of a GSR.
Note: If you use a GSR stock intake manifold, you are going to want a P72 from the GSR in order to control the Intake Air Bypass (IAB) butterflies. _________________ If you feel like you're in control, you're not going fast enough. ~ Mario Andretti
Is the LS your daily driver? If it is, you may want to go with a more reliable build up route. Its is a good idea for you to make a complete plan for your car. Estimate your budget, what kinda performance you want etc... Planning is key, all the top tunners have something of an end result before they even start. _________________ If you feel like you're in control, you're not going fast enough. ~ Mario Andretti
