I thought that I'd run through my future build up for everybody, just for S&G's as the title suggests.
B18B Bored and sleeved at 86mm
11.5:1 C/R
strengthened rods
P&P the head
Crower 404's
Crower vavle springs
stock retainers
stock valves
still looking into a IM (intake manifold)
3" CAI
GSR tranny w/ Quaife LSD
Probably a Hytech exhaust system (header, cat, cat back)
Techtonic engine management stuff
I really haven't worked out all the happy details, such as cooling and fun stuff like that, but how does that sound to everybody? _________________ DC4's are the shizzle!!
No, you don't need a fuel rail! Unless you are pushing some crazy numbers!! |

Not really for sure yet..... I may try my hand at making one out of carbon fiber.... _________________ DC4's are the shizzle!!

Correct me if i'm wrong but i believe AEM uses a 2.75" diameter for their CAI. The smaller diameter increases the speed of the intake charge improving volumetric flow efficiency. That is why AEM creates some of the biggest hp gains. Or so i'm told _________________ If you feel like you're in control, you're not going fast enough. ~ Mario Andretti |

Yeah, they all are the same now though... everybody has copied everybody, and they all produce the same numbers.... I want to try the iceman theory, it seems practicle. Start out w/ like a 3 1/2" tube and sloooooooowly taper it down to the TB. Makes sense. _________________ DC4's are the shizzle!!

Wow, carbon fiber fabrications is an art form in itself, requiring a great deal of skill. Have you worked w/ carbon fiber before? _________________ If you feel like you're in control, you're not going fast enough. ~ Mario Andretti |

No, but (there's always a but, isn't there?) I have a friend that works w/ it. He said that it's just like fiberglass. Same resen even. Shouldn't be that hard, it's just a tube. And I would make one out of fiberglass first to use as a mold, so that the inside would be nice and smooth!! _________________ DC4's are the shizzle!!
