Hello I have a weird problem, Ever since I installed my new radio and my subwoofers I've been having issues with the rpm. This only happens when I have my radio up loud. It feels like my car looses power. Has anyone else had this issue? I can litterally feel the power loss when the radio is turned up, the car doesn't kick like it should. And the car actually shut off on me one time when i was going like 2mph in a parking lot, my radio was up pretty loud. This should be happening because i had the same radio system in my past car and it ran fine. Does anyone have any ideas why it is doing this? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you!
How much power are u running to your audio system? Sounds like you're draining your battery. You probably will have to hook up a 2nd battery to run your audio components. _________________ If you feel like you're in control, you're not going fast enough. ~ Mario Andretti
Its not that much power I am running 2 12 inch subs and my max output on my amp is around 800watts. Do you think a capacitor would help at all? I was thinkin maybe when they installed everything they might of installed a bad ground? Would that have a factor in it?
Try to find another altenator, cause it sounds like yours is gonna crap out soon, my buddy (DooDooBrown) is running around 1400 Watts RMS, with no problems, but he also has a 2.4 farad cap and a new battery. You should take it to a local auto store (ie.napa, shucks....) to get an electrical test w/ all your stuff running. But you will probably need a cap w/ that much power. I'm only running like 200 watts, and I need a cap. _________________ DC4's are the shizzle!!
No, you don't need a fuel rail! Unless you are pushing some crazy numbers!!
