Sad I HAVE A 1997 2.5 TL WITH 73K. WHEN I SHIFT FROM PARK TO DRIVE OR DRIVE TO REVERSE, I EXPERIENCE A DELAY BEFORE THE TRANSMISSION KICKS INTO DRIVE OR REVERSE. I FEAR THAT ITS MY TRANSMISSION GOING BAD. BUT ONCE I DO GET INTO GEAR THE TRANNY UPSHIFTS AND DOWNSHIFTS PERFECTLY. I HAVE SPOKEN TO SEVERAL MECHANICS, SOME BELIEVE IT MAY BE AN ENGINE MOUNT THAT CAUSING THE DELAY. I RECENTLY CHANGED MY TRANSMISSION FLUID, BUT MY PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. THE HOTTER THE ENGINE GETS OR THE LONGER I DRIVE, THE DELAY TIME INCREASES. PLEASE HELP SOMEONE!

there might be some foreign material in the 1st orifice, b/c of a worn O ring under the 1st clutch feed pipe guide.

I thought as much. the only other thing i can think of is a defective 1st clutch. Oh... yes an automatic tranny does have clutches (3 or 4 if i'm not mistaken) Confused
