Hi.

I have been sold an Eibach Pro Kit for this car. All well and good you may say?
Except for the fact that I have a CIVIC! ('96 SOHC Hatchback)

When ordering this kit, I said I was looking for a kit with a drop of:
2-2.2" Front
1.6-1.8 Rear.

I was told initially by the guy getting them for me(Im in Ireland, in Europe so its a little more complicated to get the likes of a ProKit or Sportlines etc, tho they can be gotten via the net from the likes of Optauto except the give it to you firmly up the ass when it comes to shipping! Very Happy ), anyway, to start with I was told he was ordering a custom Eibach kit, with my particular car's weight and shocks(Koni Yellows) in mind, and also that they were to be Linear springs as nowhere really makes custom Progressive springs as it involves too much testing etc to get it right(which makes sense right?).

Anyhow, through a lot of messups, its taken quite some time to get these springs. I picked them up off him late last night in a hurry, and didnt notice til I got home that it said "Pro-Kit" and "Progressive" on the box. To start with I was fairly pissed cos I assumed that it was a Civic pro Kit which thanks to this and other sites I am familiar with - a 1.3" drop F&R!
But then the part number didnt match the Civic one so i called Eibach USA who kindaly informed me they are for an Acura Vigor with a 1.2" drop F&R!

Now, heres the reason Im posting here - I contacted the guy briefly and he says he is assured they are what I need. Now I kinda trust him cos he& his company are very good with most things and usually very precise around cars.

So my theory is that maybe the Acura Vigor stock springs are shorter than the EK(96-00) ones and hence you get more of a drop? But they would need to be a decent bit shorter, and also have shorter control arms because my Civic only weighs 1100kg(2420lbs) and I assume a Vigor weighs more than that? (shorter control arms would mean the springs compress less on the Vigor-i.e. law-of-lever??)

The important bit for the lazy readers:

So, my question to you Vigor owners: does anyone have their stock springs sitting in the garage/shed/house and wouldnt mind taking a measuring tape to each the front and rear springs and tell me how long each is? So I can compare this to my stock springs(I already have other lowering springs on the car which I dont like, so my stocks are in the garage)

Would really appreciate it if someone could oblige. Because my friend and I will be fitting these in my driveway as we do with everything else on my car, so its a good 5hours work that could be avoided if these are definitely not gona be right!

Thanks.
