For a while now, my Engine Maintenance light has been illuminated...when I had the oil changed the last time, I asked the guy to turn it off, which he did. But not long after, the light came on again. Assuming that the timing belt would need changing, based on mileage...I decided to have this done at 85,000 on my 98 Integra. My father told the guy to check things over....tune up...whatever to keep the car running good...

When I picked the car up, I immediately noticed the lack of power on acceleration....sort of like the engine is looking for the right place to be...no noise when shifting...perhaps a low idle too...but the car has always run great...picking up just perfect, until now...

Any suggestions? I want to return to the mechanic and be able to offer some confidence to my argument...not that I will have to, but we live in a very rural area...and my father selected this mechanic as the best in town...the one he would trust....at any rate, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
